Nugget News Community & Content Guidelines
Welcome to Nugget News — a space for curious, informed minds to explore financial markets, investing, AI, technology, history, and beyond. To keep this community valuable and trustworthy for everyone, we ask that all participants follow these guidelines.
1. Be Respectful
Engage thoughtfully and courteously. Disagreements happen — that's fine. Personal attacks, insults, or hostile language directed at other members, contributors, or the Nugget News team are not acceptable.
2. No Spam or Self-Promotion
Do not post repetitive, off-topic, or unsolicited promotional content. Sharing relevant links or resources is welcome in context, but disguised advertising, affiliate schemes, or coordinated promotion without disclosure will be removed.
3. No Harassment or Threats
Targeting, intimidating, or persistently harassing any individual — whether a community member, public figure, or private person — is strictly prohibited. This includes via comments, submissions, messages, or any other feature on the platform.
4. No Hate Speech or Discrimination
Content that dehumanizes, demeans, or incites hatred against individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, nationality, or similar characteristics has no place on Nugget News.
5. No Misinformation
Nugget News is built on accuracy and intellectual honesty. Do not knowingly post false, misleading, or unverified claims — especially regarding financial markets, investments, or current events. If you are uncertain, say so.
6. No Illegal Content
Do not post, link to, or solicit content that violates applicable laws, including but not limited to content related to securities fraud, market manipulation, illegal financial advice, or any other unlawful activity.
7. Respect Intellectual Property
Only submit or share content you have the right to share. Do not post plagiarized articles, scraped content without attribution, or material that infringes on copyright or other intellectual property rights. Always credit original sources.
8. No Impersonation
Do not impersonate other individuals, brands, media outlets, financial institutions, or any member of the Nugget News team. Misleading others about your identity or affiliation undermines community trust.
9. No Doxxing or Privacy Violations
Never post private or personally identifiable information about any individual without their explicit consent — including home addresses, phone numbers, financial details, or workplace information.
10. No Misleading Promotional or Financial Content
Any content that promotes financial products, services, or investment opportunities must be clearly and honestly disclosed. Undisclosed conflicts of interest, pump-and-dump tactics, or misleading investment claims will result in immediate removal.
Moderation Standards
Nugget News reserves the right to review, remove, or restrict any content or account that violates these guidelines. Moderation decisions are made in good faith and may be applied without prior notice.
We aim to be consistent and fair, but edge cases exist. Community safety and information quality take priority.

Depending on the severity and frequency of violations, Nugget News may take one or more of the following actions:

- Content removal — the offending post, comment, or submission is taken down
- Temporary restriction — limited access to community features for a defined period
